Arielle arrived at the opera house after her parents were killed in a freak fire and her 6 married older sisters wouldn't take her in. She arrived and promptly crushed on Raoul, especially after auditions. She became best friends with Kellie despite Kellie's...ways and also gossiped with Georgiana and Alandra in the kitchens. She met Francis and got a crush on him, and Lune had him ask her to the ball. They went to the ball together and she was held captive by Gerik, who let her go after she started talking. She thanked Raoul for his help and hugged Francis, which got Raoul upset and led to her running up on the roof and stopping him from jumping off, then they fell in love. She and Raoul got engaged, but on their tour of his house one of his girls had a baby and died, so that the baby (Rosette) was left at Raoul's place. She continued planning the wedding when she met Teddy Laurence and then Henry Jekyll. Jekyll transformed into Hyde and raped her, leaving her body in the auditorium. Teddy found her and took her to the infirmary, where she discovered that she was pregnant and that Raoul was already married. She and Teddy got married that day so that she wouldn't be a single mother and he could get over Jo breaking up with him. While she was still pregnant, Teddy was murdered. Arielle realized that she had been in love with him and went into mourning, and Irene was bugged by Teddy's ghost to solve the murder so that he could come back. Irene discovered that Raoul had murdered Teddy because his sister had told him that Teddy had raped Arielle. They then find out that Georgiana attempted to murder Raoul as well and went after her, but she got away. Teddy's ghost came to talk to Arielle, but he scared her so she fell down a staircase and miscarried. She then took Teddy's body to Magenta, who brought him back to life, and they remarried and had a daughter, Parisa. After Parisa was born, they began to travel around the world, eventually ending up in Italy. When Parisa's ex-fiance Lucien murdered Teddy (although Arielle doesn't know), Parisa fled Italy and came to the Opera. Arielle followed her there to bring her back home, believing that Teddy was killed in a freak accident and that Parisa is still in love with Lucien. She finally caught up with Parisa after months of searching, but Parisa didn't want to see her and they had a huge blowout. They haven't spoken since.
